Apple appears to be preparing a cloud based music service

It has been reported that apple paid $ 4.5 million for the domain name iCloud from Xcerion.

With many applications and data moving to cloud services, Apple may be offering customers to store their music libraries on the Web so they can access it from anywhere they have an internet connection.

Amazon has launched a similar service although they have not received licensing deals with record labels.

Even though Amazon had a serious outage of services for customers using their cloud solutions, the move to cloud computing, where all you data is stored securely on the internet for access from any connected device, is a real and powerful trend in the market.
