Apple posts greater than expected results

A 78% increase in profits helped down play the recent news that Steve Jobs, Apples CEO, has taken an extended medical leave.

Beating analysts already optimistic forecast, Apple, with the help from iPad, iMac and other seasonal product sales, bl;ew past expectations.

Taking the reins is Tim Cook, a long time Apple employee who also took over when Mr. Jobs took medical leave in 2008 after a liver transplant.
