M.I.T camera takes captures light as it passes through objects.

At 2 trillionths of a second, a camera from M.I.T’s Media Lab can capture light as it passes through different media.

Over 70 years ago the lab created amazing images using strobe lights in a project headed by Harold Edgerton. These iconic images are shown here.

Now that same lab can create slow motion movies that shows how laser light travels through a bottle.
