Used car goes for $ 4.6 million

The world’s oldest running car sold at auction for $ 4.6 million recently.  It last sold in 2007 for $ 3.5, a nice 30% appreciation over 4 years.  I guess the extra mileage was not a down side.

The steam powered De Dion-Bouton et Trepardoux was built in 1884 and has a top speed of 38 miles per hour, blazingly fast 127 years ago.

Fueled by coal, wood and paper the car needs around 30 minutes to build up enough pressure to drive.
