Warner Brothers to work with Facebook to stream movies

With over 500 million users, Facebook is a phenomenal channel for studios to distribute content.  A first of its kind for the motion picture industry, Warner Brothers hopes to leverage the huge user base to deliver movies.

Movies will be paid for with Facebook credits and Facebook will retain 30% of the price.  Netflix and Amazon have similar distribution models but their user base is dwarfed by that of Facebook.

The first movie being made available is 2008 blockbuster Batman: The Dark Knight.
